Now on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, american Stories: Paintings of Everyday Life collects images from the revolution[?] 2 WWII reflecting changing standards of american Art, as well as explore the x’s of their creation. The exhibition explores Artists response 2 narrative, tackling themes of childhood, family, marriage, & more. Emphasis is on paintings that were produced through direct interaction w/clients rather than based on history or myth. american Stories runs through January 24, 2010 & also includes an excellent web component.
